We Are Excited

Hank Dozier of Charlotte, NC is our new Conference President.  Hank was elected President at our 2010 Rally at Lake Junaluska.  Hank had been District President of the Charlotte district for a number of years.  He is a member of St. Marks UMC in Charlotte.  Hank is a hard working UM Man and we ask you to join us in welcoming him to his new position.

Hank succeeds Dick Strachan, who completed his four year term as Conference President.  Dick Remains as Gastonia District President.

We are pleased to welcome Donald Irons as the new Charlotte District President.

The General Commission on United Methodist Men has a new General Secretary.  Gil Hanke is a layman and a United Methodist Man who has served UMM in a variety of capacities at all levels of the church. You can find out more about him on the General Commission web site,  www.gcumm.org.

New Training Course Available

A new District Level UMM training course is available.  The “Understanding Men’s Ministry” course is based on the book “No Man Left Behind” book and the 2 1/2 day seminar offered by Man In The Mirror who are located in Orlando Florida.  The course is also offered as a Lay Speaking ministries Advanced Course.  It may be purchased on the General Commission web site,  www.gcumm.org.  For more information contact your district president.
