Annual Spiritual Rally

April 25, 26 and 27, 2008

at beautiful Lake Junaluska

Our 2008 Theme, “Reaching Out with Men’s Mission and Ministry”

This annual event gathers United Methodist Men from all over our annual conference to our SEJ Conference Center at Lake Junaluska for a weekend spiritual retreat, worship and service.

Events at our Rally include a Golf Tournament on Friday, and a  "Walk Around the Lake" to raise funds for our Four Major Emphases.  Also we hold a fund raising Auction to support our projects.  Our conference Boy Scout units also meet on the grounds at Lake Junaluska and camp out in support of scouting needs.

This year we are adding some new features to attract younger men and youth. These include:

A Saturday afternoon Mission Project at a site close to Lake Junaluska

Evangelistic Boat Rides around Lake Junaluska. We will cruise the Lake on the Pontoon Boat and have a fun event while doing so.

Hot Dog/Hamburger Dinner at the Camp Grounds on Saturday evening. In collaboration with the Boys Scouts who will be doing the cooking, we will have good food, fun and fellowship.

    Rev. Jim Long, Former Director, The Children’s Home

We have worship and music and prayer.  We operate the Upper Room Prayer Line on Saturday to support those who call in and request someone to pray with them.

Registration information will be mailed to all United Methodist churches in the Annual Conference at around the first of March 2008.
